What you will do

The Director of Procurement Consulting will lead the procurement consulting practice, providing strategic leadership and expertise to drive procurement transformations for our clients. This role involves developing long-term strategies, managing a team of consultants, and delivering high-impact solutions that optimize procurement processes and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:

    • Lead and manage the procurement consulting practice, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for clients, addressing their unique needs and challenges.
    • Drive the growth of the procurement consulting practice through business development, client relationship management, and thought leadership.
  • Client Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on procurement and supply chain matters.
    • Develop sound recommendations contributing to program objectives (cost savings, SLAs, Transformation etc)
    • Oversee the delivery of high-quality consulting services, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
    • Conduct in-depth assessments of client procurement functions and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Project Management:

    • Oversee the management of multiple consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
    • Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization across projects.
  • Team Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
    • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
  • Market Analysis and Insights:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
    • Provide clients with insights and recommendations based on market analysis and best practices.
    • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including publishing articles, speaking at conferences, and participating in industry forums.

What you should bring

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related consulting roles.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing procurement consulting projects.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
